Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of PlainTerms ("we", "our", or "us") and the services we provide. By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not use the service.
Description of Service
PlainTerms provides AI-powered tools designed to help users analyze and better understand documents such as contracts, agreements, and other legal or business materials.
The service uses artificial intelligence to highlight potential risks, obligations, and key clauses within uploaded documents.
User Accounts
To use certain features of the service, you must create an account using your email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
Acceptable Use
You may upload documents for analysis provided that the content does not violate applicable laws. You agree not to upload content that is unlawful, harmful, malicious, abusive, or contains sensitive data that you are not authorized to process.
You must also ensure that you have the right to upload and process the documents you submit to the service.
Document Ownership
You retain ownership of any documents that you upload to PlainTerms. By uploading documents, you grant us permission to process the content solely for the purpose of generating the requested analysis.
AI-Generated Analysis
PlainTerms uses artificial intelligence to generate document analysis. AI-generated results may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or errors.
The analysis provided by PlainTerms is intended for informational purposes only and should be independently verified.
No Legal Advice
PlainTerms does not provide legal advice. The analysis generated by the system should not be considered a substitute for professional legal consultation.
If you require legal advice, you should consult a qualified attorney.
Payments and Credits
Certain features of the service require payment. Users may purchase credits that allow them to analyze documents.
Each document analysis consumes credits from your account. The number of analyses you can perform depends on the number of credits you have purchased.
Credits are non-transferable, non-refundable, and have no monetary value outside the platform.
All pricing is clearly displayed before purchase. By completing a purchase, you agree to the applicable pricing and billing terms.
Refunds
Due to the nature of digital services, purchases are generally non-refundable.
However, if you experience a technical issue or believe a charge was made in error, you may contact us and we will review refund requests on a case-by-case basis. Refunds, when applicable, are processed through our payment provider Paddle.
Payment Processing
Payments are processed by our payment provider Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Paddle is responsible for handling payment transactions, billing, and applicable taxes.
Use of Analysis Results
You may use the results generated by PlainTerms for personal or business purposes.
However, you may not reproduce, resell, or exploit the service itself without permission.
Service Availability
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service at any time without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the platform.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlainTerms shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the service.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the service. Users may delete their accounts at any time.
Changes to Terms
