No, and we are not a law firm. If you are in a dispute, facing a lawsuit, or the amount at stake runs into six figures, see a lawyer. What we do is make sure you know what the document says first — so you either walk in already knowing which clause to ask about, or decide you do not need to go.
Because the parts that cost money are rarely the parts you remember reading. Notice periods you have to meet, fees that only apply in certain conditions, automatic renewal, who pays when something goes wrong. Those are usually one sentence each, and they are usually not near the front.
Anything with a term longer than a month, anything with a penalty for leaving early, and anything where you are personally on the hook rather than a company. In practice that means leases, job offers, memberships, and any agreement where you signed a personal guarantee.
